Nancy Madill describes her work as abstract
and abstract expressionist. A self-taught artist, she has worked in various
mediums and more recently has concentrated on painting in oils.

“I work from the inside out, painting what I think and feel in the moment,” she
says. “Abstract expressionism provides the freedom to express myself.” Most of
her work springs from her deep faith and her belief that life is a journey to
become closer to God. Knowledge of oneself and the sacredness of existence are
cornerstones of her work.
Before becoming a full-time artist, Ms. Madill worked as a teacher, social
worker and office manager. “Although art was always in my soul, I came to it
later in life. For that leap of faith, I thank my husband who has encouraged me
to create and who believes strongly in my art.” She and her husband live in
Duluth, GA.
